We’re excited to announce a partnership with The FOOD+ENTERPRISE summit held this April in our Building on 630 Flushing Ave!

FOOD+ENTERPRISE catalyzes connections between entrepreneurs and investors to finance a better local food system and helps to form a unique B2B social impact community fostering relationships that regenerate place, planet, people + profits. Valuing farmers and human-scale ventures as centrally important to forging a resilient local food economy is the main course.

This year’s theme “Finding Food Value: Balancing Purpose + Profit” will guide programming ranging from structured networking, practical workshops, strategy sessions and signature events, such as Expert Exchange, Pitchfest, and Meet + Eat Marketplace.

Inspired by Slow Money Principles, the summit explores challenges and opportunities for both investors + entrepreneurs to enact positive social + environmental change through business.

The BF+DA will be hosting their Jeffersonian Dinner in our Plaza as well as moderating a Hemp Work Group covering  food and fashion angles with hemp becoming legalized in the U.S. How can we effect policy? How can hemp be effectively utilized in local fiber sheds and not get abused as cotton has? Get ready to explore…

RSVP here.
