Wearable Experiments’ Football Fan Shirt Connects Players to People
Wearable Experiments and Billie Whitehouse just announced the European launch of the Football Fan Shirt that connects super fans to the players they love. The wearable technology company is no stranger to designing apparel to enhance the human experience using the skin as an interface with Nadi X, the Fan Jersey, and the Rugby Fan Jersey a precursor to the newest shirt release. The company just unveiled the first Football Fan Shirt in Europe this week.
Whitehouse says the reason for doing this, goes back to Wearable Experiments’ roots of connecting people with the moments they care about.
Wearable Experiments is a technology company that designs apparel to enhance the human experience and launched the Football Fan Shirt embedded with haptic technology that connects fans in real-time with action in the game through touch.
Using the skin as an interface, plays are transmitted directly from the game to the wearer using choreographed haptic feedback.
Whitehouse says this creates a heightened sense of excitement blurring the lines between player and spectator. As well as connecting fans to fans and capturing the data from fan excitement. The shirt is connected to an app, where you can select which team you want to follow. By harnessing real-time game data, this allows the wearer to feel the sensations of what the team is going through with every major play as it happens on the pitch.
