What information should you bring with you to a first meeting with a patternmaker, and how should you manage that relationship? In this class you will learn what a patternmaker is looking for from designers and eliminate the guesswork involved in sample development.

As a fashion designer with over 15 years experience producing both domestically and overseas, I have developed a vast understanding of a variety of production systems and manufacturing techniques. As a private consultant I have helped over a dozen brands get started in the fashion industry, guiding them through tech packs, sample development, fabric sourcing and production. I have also taught design concept, sustainable manufacturing and textile sourcing at Pratt and FIT since 2008.
