Providing luxurious, handcrafted knit and crochet outerwear accessories for women and men since 2009, Spratters & Jayne pairs contemporary silhouettes with traditional crafting techniques. The collection is entirely ethically sourced and includes dramatic deconstructed statement pieces and sophisticated everyday wear. Each piece is individually made by artisans earning a fair wage.
In 2008 a stranger in SoHo demanded I sell her a scarf I’d made- she didn’t seem to care I was wearing it at the time. Shortly after that I formed Spratters & Jayne. What was a hobby is now a full time job. Born into a farming family in North Dakota, I’m also a graduate of Vassar and have a Masters Degree in Photography from The University of the Arts in London.
I began working with Rachael in 2013 when she expanded her collection to include more unisex pieces. After years of encouraging from the sidelines I’m happy to have a larger role. I’m a graduate of the University of South Carolina and Parsons The New School for Design.
