TEXTILE TUESDAY: ReRoll by Daniel Silverstein

Once each month, the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator invites a sustainable textile vendor to come present their materials and processes. Join us for October’s Textile Tuesday featuring ReRoll by Brooklyn designer Daniel Silverstein. Zero Waste Daniel is on a mission to eradicate wasteful fashion industry norms by providing alternative fashion made using his original process, ReRoll, the fabric of the future.

ReRoll creates flat textile goods made from cutting room scraps. Scrap materials are collected from factories, production facilities and designers and the process aims to end the wasteful practices of the garment industry. It is focused on transforming fabric “scraps” or “waste”—a multi-million ton per year resource—into a raw material for new production, that is beautifully designed every time. ReRoll and Zero Waste Daniel’s line ZWD have already saved thousands of pounds of fabric from being sent to landfills, and turned what other designers called “waste stream” into hundreds of items of clothing.
