A highly interactive class focused on the presentation of your ideas as a form of storytelling. As an entrepreneur you will have to tell your story often—who you are and the relevance of your ideas and business. During this class we will hone in on what you have to say, your audience, and the format and content needed to create a compelling presentation. Participation during this class is critical as you practice the telling of your story and listen to the telling of others.
Topics Include: presentation structures, development and formats; elevator pitches; client presentations
Instructor: Leah Caplan
Leah Caplan has a deep personal and professional history in the design industry that gives her a unique understanding of its varied entities—from its practitioners, students, and educators, to its clients, consumers, and patrons.
Leah has worked 20+ years as a marketing, strategy, and client services professional. Her roles have included leading branding and design studios in the management and growth of their business and services; directing marketing, public relations and advertising on the client side; building and diversifying the product offering and outreach for global recruitment firms; and educating design students.
She has led the strategy, planning and implementation of design programs for Fortune 500 retail and consumer product brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Cole Haan, GE, Herman Miller, Martha Stewart, Johnson & Johnson, Pepsi, Target and Victoria’s Secret.

To Register:
Students with a domestic address can register online here, beginning April 4th. Please follow the directions below-
Select “Continuing Education” on the right hand side of the page.
Select “Registration & Pay for SCPS Courses”.
Where it says “Select Course Code” enter “XCDE”.
Click “Submit” at the bottom of the page.
You will then see all classes running for the CDE program.
Select the courses you would like to take and press “Submit”.
Alternatively you can register in person starting April 4th at the Office of the Registrar at Pratt’s Brooklyn Campus in Myrtle Hall. For additional information regarding registration, you can contact the Registrar at 718 636 3663.
