Calle Del Mar is based on Aza Ziegler’s California upbringing and childhood style. With influence from athletic uniforms, 1960’s embellishments and vintage surf skate culture, the Calle Del Mar line redefines the Tom Boy. The line focuses on local manufacturing and the employment of makers across the U.S.A while staying true to their beliefs that a party dress always looks best with sneakers!
California native and Brooklyn-based designer Aza Ziegler’s career in fashion started early. At age 12, she was featured in Women’s Wear Daily for her one of a kind skirt line. Now, ten years later, Aza graduated from Pratt Institute while simultaneously releasing her first SS15 collection “Calle Del Mar” at Center 548 in New York City. Playful, fearless, and adventurous are not only words to describe Aza herself but her fanciful, undeniably effortless designs and imaginative textiles. Greatly inspired by her roots out west, Aza does not fail to transition west to east and everywhere in between.
