Once each month, we invite a sustainable textile vendor to come present their materials and processes. Join us for October’s Textile Tuesday with James Mendolia from C.L.A.S.S. Education – a new division of C.L.A.S.S. the Milan based eco platform.
Fashion Designers, Merchandisers, Sourcing Experts, Educators and Fashion Students of all majors, this is your invitation to see, feel and understand why brands are sourcing smart innovations. James Mendolia, Co-founder C.L.A.S.S. Education, will engage attendees’ senses as they realize smart innovation as the new standard for fashion.
Smart innovation optimizes creativity through means of responsible sourcing alternatives that offer a new generation of values. James discusses design responsibility, as well as the designer and merchandisers’ new roles as he presents innovative smart materials certified with sustainable credentials.
These innovations, in comparison to conventional materials offer significant reductions in water, CO2, chemicals and energy to empower like-minded fashion professionals and emerging talents to transform their design thinking process and move from a linear to a circular economy business model.
James Mendolia is the Co-founder of C.L.A.S.S. Education and whose research investigates innovative textile and apparel manufacturing technologies and processes that are in direct response to the global movement to generate a sustainable preference in today’s changing marketplace.
In 2015, Mendolia along with Giusy Bettoni, C.L.A.S.S. CEO and Founder launched C.L.A.S.S. Education a new division that infuses smart innovation as the new standard for fashion. James plays an integral role creating interactive Design Responsibility workshops that introduce fashion professionals, educators and emerging fashion design and business talents to a new generation of textile technologies that add brand value.
