Hemp Black Aims To Reduce Environmental Impacts of Apparel Industry

Join the BF+DA for an April textile presentation as we invite Hemp Black to come present their materials and processes.

Hemp Black is a disruptive eco-experience delivering performance and value with purpose. With their commitment to social responsibility, economic growth and environmental stewardship they pride ourselves on domestic partnerships to maximize benefits and minimize impacts for all stakeholders. Through innovative technologies, they have advanced hemp’s processes to provide products that improve everyday lives and are utilizing hemp’s natural resistance and sequestration of CO2.

New technology is disrupting the world of textiles and materials. The most promising is hemp as it grows sustainably and, by nature’s design, has a host of performance properties – but Hemp Black is taking it a step further. Hemp Black’s technologies are ushering in a new era of smart and functional performance apparel, footwear and fashion. By carbonizing a hemp bio-product, Hemp Black unlocks a host of advanced technologies that are intelligent, adaptive and evolutionary.

Michael Savarie, Head of the Sustainability Team for Hemp Black will be on hand to discuss how their innovative solutions can help to reduce the environmental and social impacts of the design industry.
